The Magic Lake Estates Water System provides drinking water to 1,263 lots in a Water Service Area on North Pender Island. The Magic Lake Estates Water System supplies the majority of the population of North Pender Island. The Water Service Area was established in 1980.

  • Surface Area of the lake: 10.24 Hectares
  • Maximum Depth: 9.75 m
  • Water Capacity: When lake full there are 697 cubic decameters stored, 370 of which can be abstracted
  • Water License (allowable draw-down from full lake, by height or volume). The waterworks licences are for 380,000 Igpd (92,467,000 Igp annum) abstraction and 143 acre feet per annum storage, there is also a 435 acre feet per annum storage for ornamental lake.
